The first approximately half of the game is about maintaining your speed. It's fun. Then the game becomes significantly more precision based with a pretty significant difficulty jump. In those levels, I had to take breaks because the game became less and less fun as I got through more and more levels. Every now and then there would be a level that was fun to play but quickly it was gone and replaced by the much more frustrating levels, which would either be gimmicky, misleading, or absolutely massive for no apparent reason. You will be able to beat the game without dealing with many of these levels if you get 3 stars on all the beginning levels, but that motive seems a bit odd for a game of this genre.
The developer remembered how to make the levels fun in the DLC, but since the difficulty goes back down it won't feel very long. There is Steam Workshop integration, though, so there's a theoretically endless supply of levels.
The lore serves no purpose in this game. Don't get invested; it doesn't go anywhere.
I still recommend this game overall. Just because I found the precise levels more annoying than fun doesn't mean you will.

i will say i really enjoyed the game and it was a good few hours, the level design was amazing the game play was fun and the graphics look beautiful
overall the game is fun and definitely a good time to get it when i write this as it is on sale, there is also a demo if your really on the fence (even if its only like £1.50 or so for both the game and DLC (just to touch on the DLC quickly, it was a fun DLC level wise but the boss at the end was not my forte (extra note on the boss, first and last phase was actually kinda fun IMO but the second phase was really annoying with it having like 4-5 stages with yes checkpoints but still was really draining (p.s this could also just be skill issue however so take my word with a grain of salt)))

This game is great. The movement and hook system are really gratifying.
This game does it's movement system fairly well. At time it feels a bit unpredictable to gain and maintain speed, but I'd say 95% of the time it works exactly as you'd expect. You can really fling yourself through levels and approach things in multiple ways. Being good at this game feels like you're developing skills in a very tangible way.
I love the aesthetic, this game vaguely reminds of code lyoko smushed with tron.
I'd recommend this game. I got it for a couple bucks, I'd say it's worth up to $15 dollars.
Note: i played this on my steamdeck. It never crashed and runs smoothly. I think the controls are a touch awkward, so I enabled gyroscope in a funny way. I was able to 100% the game this way.
I recommend this on steamdeck. The only issue i encountered was that the menu doesn't fit quite right on screen with some text cut off, but that never affected gameplay or enjoyment.
