This game brings out the demon in everyone. Your entire goal is to be a crab in a bucket, dragging everyone down to your level. Then, once you are at the top, you are like a Boomer in the housing market, kicking everyone down beneath you while you tell them it's their fault for being in poverty and referencing how you "picked yourself up by your bootstraps" despite the fact that you faced no economic pressures like your lessers. Just when you feel like you've been down on your luck for too long, a little demon comes and literally sits on your shoulders, telling you to dismantle the establishment board by board, leveling the playing field and draining the 1st placers of their 401ks. And to what end do we attack each other? For what cause are we pitted against our friends in order to rise to the top?
This game is an allegory of real life after all. You must amass wealth and look better than your friends so that way you can be spared a singular scrap of coochie. Nothing gives a lady the ick more than showing any weakness, and Princess Penny will only accept the richest and most successful man in all the land.
