After two hours of playing I feel pretty done with the game, on one hand I enjoy how basic and simple it is but on the other hand it gets repetitive fast. I have a lot of content left but I'm just not hooked enough to continue.
The art is great and the actual turndesign is awesome, there is logic to all the movement which makes it possible to plan ahead. You can choose to either play it with assist-mode (easier because it gives you all the info for free) or to figure out how enemies will move by yourself. If you make a mistake and die you can just restart, the game is fast and doesn't waste your time.
For me the two hours I spent in the game was alright but frankly the game was not worth my time.

Neat little game with turn-based puzzle combat (a bit reminiscent of Into the Breach). Probably on the simpler side and not too long (it took me 5.5h to complete, doing all missions, but not trying to achieve 100% everywhere). The story is relatively straight-forward, but nicely narrated as if it was as bed-time story. The visual style is great and fits this decision. Overall, I would recommend it and I think the regular price of ~10€ is fair.

A nice little puzzle game. All of the enemies movements are 100% predictable, so the goal is to plan your movements in response and kill all the enemies / get to the goal in a certain number of turns without getting killed by the monsters. You unlock a few potential powers to give you additional options. The levels are all hand-designed.
There's not huge amounts of depth here, but there's enough to spend an enjoyable few hours. Similarly, the story isn't super deep but it's sufficient to add some narrative bones for a few hours. Ultimately, I enjoyed the time I spent with Howl, and I think it accomplished what it was trying to do without overstaying its welcome.
