The downloadable content (DLC) set, titled “3C3C1D119440927”, will include three exciting new colosseums to challenge, plus additional sub-quests. Upon completion of these quests, players can earn various rewards, including:
Costumes from the previous Japanese release, NieR: Replicant, for androids 2B, 9S and A2
Records that add special music tracks to the players’ jukebox
New equipment and cosmetic accessories such as hairspray that allows you to change the color of 2B and A2’s hair
Masks with unique “on equip” effects
Special bullets that change the appearance of enemy bullets
Clearly these were designed to be promo pieces for Nier Replicant, and extra treats for those who have already beaten the game. This is not a DLC for day one players in my opinion! This is the type of DLC you get when you've beaten the game, and want to donate 10 bucks to thank the developers for the experience and get a little kick back. That or its best fit for people who played Replicant FIRST, and want to experience the same outfits in Automata. THAT BEING SAID. 2B's lingerie is goofy and really doesn't make sense. Her colesseum doesn't make sense, it should be in the city ruins. 9S's outfit is alright, but does not fit his personality. His colesseum doesn't make sense, it should be desert. 2A's winter armor is confusing, there is no snow map. Her colesseum doesn't make sense, it should be forest. The CEO battle should be in a separate colesseum with all S rank choices, and in a location such as the Department elevator or Emils Cave. Plato's side mission is not replayable, i found it impossible (i lost), play it once and its done, not only that but the actual him freaking out and killing everyone was in the text story, but i did not experience that how i played it - and due to no replay factor - i won't unless i play the entire playthrough again (so far i am at 9 or 3 playthroughs however you see it) or starting a bare new game. but you can watch the music video again. :( Am i glad i got it, yes. i still love this game, i am critical because i love this game. maybe one day i will get a chance to work for a major game studio and have authority to help deliver a complex and inviting story with even MORE replayability. I am 100%ing this game anyways but along the way i have many criticisms which i feel should be valuable feedback for SquareEnix.
The DLC includes three arenas, located in the three previously inaccessible elevators in the base game. They can be accessed after receiving the quest: Mysterious Letter. Each locations has its own challenges and quest.
After completing the three arenas the player will receive the final quest: Mysterious Invitation which tasks you with going to the Amusement Park and investigating a newly opened elevator. Once inside, a TV is available to interact with and doing so will allow the player to relive the memories of Plato 1728. At the end of this small story, a music video by rock band Amazarashi is played as the ending credits to this piece of DLC content. After the video, the player can exit the Park and will now have access to special challenge tiers in each of the arenas. Finally, a unique boss fight with CEO of Square Enix Yosuke Matsuda as well as Platinum Games head Kenichi Sato can be accessed by persistently asking the Resistance Secretary inside the Colosseum (Flooded City) arena for a fight with you-know-who.
