Picked this up for the unique art style and depressed clowns, despite not being a huge fan of puzzle games and loved every second of it. I have since given it a spot in my favourites, because it ticked so many boxes.
The whole of Habitat is so well crafted, from the environments, to the inhabitants, there is so much to love. The mix of puppets, to photos, to drawn characters makes it pop visually, and the personalities of the characters involved provide a lot to enjoy! Even when certain puzzles are finished, they make you want to go back and interact with them, just to see what they'll say and do.
As for the puzzles, they can be a little tricky, but not the kind that will have you slapping yourself silly for hours trying to work them out. And if you do, it won't take long for something to pop up along the way. The hint system in the game is super friendly, and there is more than one way for you to try and figure things out if you get stuck.
Not to mention the mystery and story ties together the game beautifully, but no spoilers! Go play it! I raved to friends for far too long about the plot and the themes long after completing the whole thing. If you like to sink your teeth into things like that, then this is your game.
With good audio and a true feeling of being rewarded for supporting your new friends too, the only downside is that you will eventually finish it.
But before then, you get to play it, and chances are it will make you smile!
