Hitting the Nail on the Head: It’s Basically Sniper Elite 5 DLC... But That’s Not a Bad Thing
If you enjoyed Sniper Elite 5, then this is an easy recommendation. It’s essentially more of the same—new missions, a new main character (who has technically appeared in previous games but still feels fresh), and technically new settings.
The Good: Fun, Well-Made, and True to the Formula
The game is fun, plain and simple. It sticks to what works and doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel—which, honestly, I respect. If it ain't broke, don’t fix it, and they followed that philosophy well. The missions are engaging, and the gameplay feels just as satisfying as ever.
The Bad: Some Bugs and the "DLC Feel"
That said, it’s not perfect. There are definitely some bugs—I've had issues where throwing bottles, grenades, or even shooting in certain areas hits an invisible wall. At one point, I threw a sticky grenade, it got stuck on one of these invisible barriers, and, well… let’s just say it didn’t end well for me.
I do wish it had a bit more uniqueness to set it apart from SE5, but overall, it’s still enjoyable. I just hope we get more missions down the line.
Replayability and Content Length
I haven’t finished the game yet because I’ve been taking my time, exploring, and just enjoying myself. However, I can already tell that if you just rush through the main objectives, it’d probably feel short. But in my experience, Sniper Elite games are meant to be played multiple times, trying different strategies, so as long as the missions are fun and replayable, that’s not really an issue.
Denuvo and Anti-Cheat – The Good News
Denuvo is, unfortunately, still here, but at least the anti-cheat portion of it is optional. As far as I know, you only need it for multiplayer, so if you’re just playing solo, it’s not a problem.
Final Thoughts
If you’re the type to complain that this is just glorified DLC, fair enough—but this probably isn’t for you
For everyone else, this game is beyond fun.
