Besiege Review (Cooliodude223)
I've played this game for so long I followed its development on imgur like half a decade ago. Besiege is really one of the first of its kind - a game about building vehicles to meet the demands of the mission at hand. Before Simple Planes or Trailmakers, there was Besiege. The game really just gives you a tool box full of blocks, motors, spikes, and bombs and asks you to complete deceptively simple missions. The fun of the game comes from what you decide to do to solve the problem at hand. Technically, a helicopter with a grabber and a bomb can finish like 4/5ths of the original campaign, but the real meat and potatoes of the game comes from building inefficient, unoptimized solutions. If you have an inkling of a creative bone in your body, this is the game for you. The building mechanics are solid, the gameplay loop is fun, the game is graphically pretty good for an indie title, and the sound design of the game is memorable. The performance is pretty good considering the physics at play and the degree to which you can crank the graphical fidelity. If you like building solutions to problems, this is a fun game to pick up!
