Granny Review (MooRicher)
From now on every Escape Room needs a Granny armed with a Baseball bat
Granny is a mobile classic that I didnt know until recently. A few month ago I got a pretty nasty Covid Infaction that tied me down to the bed for three weeks. I spend most of my time in feverdream like state watching horror videos. Pretty wild combination if you ask me looking back. However watching Playthroughs of all three Granny Games became my bread and butter. After recovering I went and bought all three games and decided to play them for myself. To be fair after watching somewhat arround 30h of Granny Videos I didnt felt new to the game and had a head start. I decided to wait with a review until I managed to beat the game on the highest difficulty while doing the Slendrina Easter Egg. Since you can read those line, I managed to achieves this. In general I spend my time accross all difficulties, but got fond of Hard.
To describe Granny Id use the title implication. Granny is Escape Room Game with name given Granny hunting you down. Find items and use them in the right way to get access to new areas resulting in more items till you can use one of three escape routes.
Granny has an excaptional pacing in gameplay and progression. Granny remains a threat even after 10h and will be one for another 10h. Random spawn location make the runs unique and the balance between randomness and patterns to learn is well met. I have my fun with the game. There is only small stuff to critize.
I dont like extrem would be one major thing. Its challenging and incredible satisfying to do but I find extrem(normal and easy have the same issues) to much off track of pacing. Hard for has the best balance. Granny is fast enough to be a threat and to react to my mistakes while allowing me to not die imidiatly. On the lower difficutlies she is just to slow and on extrem I feel like fighting flash. The game turns into a waiting game till you have enough room between granny and you to get some progress going. Its a nice challenge for a onetime experience. Another thing that can be bothering is when granny knocks something over she reacts to hear created sound and stops whatever she did. Annoying in those cases where you tried to lure her somewhere. Its not gamebreaking annoying but it mess up the flow you might have.
For the rest the game is entertaining as hell. And I for sure intend to make a run thru all three games doing all ending on hard and maybe on extrem one day.
