Yes, you can play Broforce in VR using the UUVR mod by Raicuparta. You just need to download the free Raipal app and then just install the UUVR Mono Legacy mod by the click of a button on Raipal. Then just start the game.
The whole perspective of the game changes as you'll be able to see far off into the map both horizontally and vertically. There's also a surprising amount of 3D depth for a 2D pixel art side scroller. It looks really good.
The only issue I noticed is that the camera view does tend to move by itself at times and you may have to strain your neck in order to see where the action is taking place. I recommend playing with a swivel chair for this reason. I also recommend playing with a gamepad.
