Crystalline is a fantasy type visual novel with the elements of comedy and romance. It takes place in a world called Terra where magic exists. Our protagonist is a guy from our world who got transported into Terra without any idea why it happened. Shortly after he met a pango and a woman called Leanna and the latter has decided to help him after learning his situation. With this, the three of them have started a journey with the goal to help protagonist find a way back to his home at Earth.
Throughout the journey they'll meet with interesting people who will join them, travel around towns which looks like out of a fantasy game, see some exciting views and experience memorable events, and try to save their lives from some of the most dangerous creatures throughout the Terra.
The CG and backgrounds are exceptionally mesmerizing. While the repetition in backgrounds is sometimes noticeable, especially when it goes to interiors, it never really gets in the way. The music and VA don’t fall far behind the visuals. The voice actors do a very, very solid job, not only giving quite a lot of personality to the main cast, but also keeping the supporting voices convincing whether they are secondary or tertiary characters.
Overall, Crystalline is a beautiful visual novel with the intriguing plotline and unique characters. I personally love how the stories have a good right combination of romance and comedy. Everything was done flawlessly and there are no glitches. The level of detail is impressive, and the characters are beautifully designed. If you are a fan of anime, you are in for a sweet 10-hour ride with this game.
