Huntdown İnceleme (Skrat)

It looks cool, it sounds cool, the puns are terrible, so it should have been good.
Not sure exactly what, but the levels with the controls you are given are just super awkward. I acknowledge I'm getting older and probably not as quick as I once was, but I haven't struggled this much with anything else, and I've played some much faster paced games.
During the levels I keep finding myself stuck out in the open with no cover whatsoever and not much choice but to just take hits. There's "difficult", and then there's awkward design, and that's what this is. It's very odd. I expected the bosses to be even worse but no, they were just fine. The controls and level design seemed to match them just fine and made for a really fun boss fight. But the levels? Man. They were just getting progressively worse.
The little miniboss fights with the hoodlums in the van were the worst offenders. It just goes:
1) duck behind cover from shotgun blast
2) return fire
3) duck behind cover from one stray bullet
4) return fire
5) repeat
Just....bleck. The levels on their own are fine, the enemies on their own are fine, and the controls themselves are fine on their own too, but put them all together and it just doesn't work for me on this one. Like I said, it's really strange.
Also it seemed like it would be incredibly short, as well as repetitive. I played as Mow Man and cleared out the first gang/set of levels and went 1 level deep into the next world/gang. It was already getting a bit repetitive because nothing was really changing.
It'd be alright just for a couple bucks, but even at the sale price of $6.79 I didn't feel like it was worth it. Definitely not a full price purchase of $20.

Usually when I critique a game I like to talk about "how it could be better" but honestly this one kind of has me stumped. The only thing I can really get from the top of my head is some skills you unlock as you progress so the game play would change a little bit as you go, as well as more levels to allow more of that growth as well of more game to play. Some upgrades such as more health, improved base damage, or skills such as dropping down a temp piece of cover, some kind of better dodge. You get the idea.
I don't think the game needs much, but it definitely needs something. It's so close to good it's aggravating.
