Alright, I am going to start this off by addressing two things: 1. I really like across the obelisk. 2. Putting all their money grubbing and whatever other controversies aside for this review.
There is a fight in this dlc, that is such astonishingly bad, anti-fun (in a particularly bad way), encounter, that it prompted me to write this review.
The following is minor spoilers for the Basthet fight, which I encourage you to read and follow my advise.
In the sands zone, in the pyramid, is a mini-boss fight that is mandatory.
You meet a sphinx that gives you a classic sphinx riddle. You have to answer one of seven questions. Based off _obscure_ game lore. I *strongly* encourage you to look up the answers when you encounter it.
Regardless of whether you answer correctly or not, you have to do a *horribly* designed endurance fight. You have to survives 6 rounds against the sphinx, which takes ages, cause there's almost nothing to do. The sphinx is totally immune to damage. If you don't answer the riddle correctly, you get no reward beyond a pittance of gold/shards. *Plus* even if you purge her invulnerability buff, and manage to kill her in time, you get nothing for your troubles.
Avoid the obnoxious waste of time, or at the very least, look up the answer to the riddle, so you get something for it.
