Battlestar Galactica Deadlock: Ghost Fleet Offensive is the third Season 2 expansion, focusing on the Ghost Fleet offensive (something which people who have seen B&C might be familiar with), bringing 10 new story missions as well as introducing some new vessels.
Ghost Fleet offensive is set after the events in Resurrection, with colonial fleet organising a counter-attack behind Cylon lines. While initially the starting story missions feel rather dry, the 2nd half of them make up for it with fairly engaging combat scenarios & story turns.
The new Colonial vessels - Defender and Orion are undoubtedly one of the highlights of the expansion, with Defender acting as both a marine carrier & combat support, and Orion functioning as a stealth-capable strike vessel. The Cylon Medusa has a unique design and is also a notable addition, though not nearly as interesting as the newer colonial ships.
As expected with BSG, the music & aesthetics are fairly solid as well. Furthermore, there is a brand-new "Fleet Admiral" difficulty which allows for players to experience the game at a higher difficulty.
My main issue with this expansion is the inter-mission tabletop mode, which still has been restricted to Resurrection's "stay in staging ground and sometimes act as a QRF" approach, as well as the fact that the missions where player is permitted to use the two new ships are not all that many.
Despite the aforementioned issue, Ghost Fleet offensive is still a really solid addition to Season 2 of BSG Deadlock's expansions. If you don't mind the confined tabletop layout for the inter-mission portion of the game, you will definitely get a fair bit of enjoyment out of the story missions. I would certainly recommend this to fans of Deadlock.
