I cannot recommend this game even in the slightest. I love all games, i have never written a negative review, and I co own an indie game company myself so this pains me to write this. The community in this game is 40% hackers, 20% sweats, 20% people who are competent enough to destroy everyone but choose to drive the ship off the map for their own enjoyment, and 10% level 0 players like me who came from sea of thieves as prior pirate legends looking for a new fun game to play and immeditatly refunded after seeing the other 90%.... oh and the last 10% is the developers themselves cause this game has no players and they make up 1/10 of the lobbies lol.

i see a world where this game could be seen as a fun game. A good community, balanced gameplay, etc, but it aint that game yet. I see this game growing to be something great, but with this first impression, it wont. The game is silly, im not butt hurt for losing and writing this mean review, i actually won the first game with the 2 trolls lol, i know how to have fun in these kinda games... its just that it isnt fun in the current state and might never be.
Pros:
- Sea of Thieves like- we dont have enough of these.
- Goofy ah- but in a good way
- Great developers
- great graphics
- Kinda fun and unique but...
Cons:
- the amazing game is squandered by trolls and hackers who abuse the ill integrity of this indie game and it makes me want to report every last one of them like a snitch
- the design of the pvp is great but it is broken. players can take control of the ship against their team's will and send it into the storm, players can steal eachother's loot, players can abuse text and voice chat, etc
suggestions:
- make a vote system so that players can lock out who is able to do what. someone keeps spamming cannon balls and cant hit a damn thing? lock them out 3 to 1 in a vote.
- remove the text chat oml, biggest mistake a game can make. why do you think league of legends is the most toxic community? free open text chat. The ability to say whatever you want without opening your mouth is too much freedom to give anyone, take X (twitter -_- ) for example, hell- this review! I am a christian child, i never curse out loud lol.
i may come back and change the review if the game is in a better place, but for now, ill hang on to my 0.6 hours so that i can return the game if it doesnt improve. well done devs! horribly played steam community... you guys have disappointed me.
