It's unplayable. The amount of cheaters is crazy. Valve is doing nothing about it and will probably never do anything about it. Only thing they do is put something in the game files about anticheat and dataminers go crazy about it while that is just there to make us think that they are doing something.
The reality is that real anticheat will never come, vacnet will never stop learning and vac will stay useless as it always was. The issue with anti cheat goes back to 2014 and since then vacnet is learning and valve is "making" an anticheat.
It's sad that a game with legendary status has such uninterested developers. Half of the game is made up of community made maps, skins and tournaments that are hosted by third parties. Only thing that valve needs to do is make a stable and functional game with an anticheat and they refuse to do that. It's not that they can't make an anticheat they are not an indie studio they are multi billion dollar company that doesn't want to make an anticheat.
We can all stop hopping for an anticheat because it will never be finished. All we are going to get is some lines of text in game files saying something like "suspicious_hit_odds_threshold, suspicious_hit_payer_radius, suspicious_hit_strategy". These were found in game files by dataminers in December of 2023 half a year has passed and there is still no sign of an anticheat. And they will just keep putting that useless garbage in game files to quiet down the community when they start asking for a real solution.
The only thing they care about is what brings them profit and anticheat isn't one of those things.
