this game is mind blowing! i avoided it for a looooong time because when i first saw it in a youtube gameplay video i was like... "no real fighting? just written prompts?... booooooorrrriiiiiiing!"
but then i saw something by accident about the "crusader wars" mod that combines it with total war attila and i was like "you know what? lemme give this a try!" and boy is it amazing!!!!! by the way i didn't even start playing with the mod, cuz i just wanted to get a feel for the ck3 gameplay first, learn the game, etc, etc..
and i am now playing the tutorial campaign, and i don't even know if i really want to play the mod anytime soon, since the base ck3 gameplay is INSANE! where do i even fkn start??
first of all i came up as a modest king in good old ireland, all was well and i married a beautiful, generous and honourable country girl! all was going well, the years passed by, until... the damned plague hit...
i saw many of my children and grandchildren pass away... sad times... well...
i never liked them anyway to be completely honest with you
i got stressed outta my mind with the current affairs and sought solace in my wifes embrace and advice to hopefully get through this
she catches the flu, survives it, then...,. THE B*TCH gets pregnant and IT'S NOT MY CHILD!!!!!!
i confront her about it and she tells me she loves my vassal the way she has never loved me and never could! B*TCH U WILDIN'! HELL NO!
i keep it on the low cuz i don't want my family name smeared like "uuuuh, the queen is a h*o and our king is a c*ck" but all the while i blackmailed the vassal, increased his taxes and thought i would for sure get him and the h*o killed..... and guess what...?
I CATCH AND DIE OF THE FKN PLAGUE couple of weeks later!!!! my son inherits the throne... mfer dies 12 months later of the same flu, and now my grandson stepped up to the throne but HE IS A FUK*N BABY!!!!!!
all the while, the B*TCH married the vassal and is scheming against my grandson!
and all this just to say that.....
THIS IS AMAZING! i never thought i would ever be so nail-bittingly enraptured in drama by just some written prompts on a screen!
by the way what i achieved in the 12 years of rule? just one war against one vassal and obtained one fief, and then i made 2 or 3 other vassals! treasury is in the gutter, only earning 3 gold pieces per month... but you know what? this is incredibly interesting and it surprises me how much i enjoy it! it's so interesting to see that you are so inconsequential and that power is so hard to maintain and develop! this game puts so much emphasis on areas i never thought i would be interested in, like diplomacy and deception!
but wait and you shall see... lil Fithcheallach the GRUESOME is going to be the curse of the world! i'm planning on making this baby the most cruel ruler ireland, and with a bit of God's grace, the world has ever seen!!!!!!!!!
oh yeah forgot to mention, the names in this game are WILD! i'm having so much fun naming the babies with madlad names, especially the girls!
10/10 no doubt about it!

In the end lil Fithcheallach ended up being not so gruesome at all, quite the opposite tbh, and got f*ked over by all his grandsons who died really young bcuz of plagues, and by his granddaughters who married into other houses, thus ending the dinasty! oh how tragically a rulers life unfolds

NEW UPDATE, 2ND PLAYTHROUGH:
one day something INSANE happened! i was a good king of transoxiana under the emperor of khazaria! i amassed the titles to become emperor of turan but didn't yet have the money for creating the title! guess what happens!
as i was embroiled in wars away from my lands some guy appears outta nowhere with "i wanna appoint you my stewart blah blah blah!"
i'm like "what? the emperor died?" and i zoom out on the map and to my bewilderment, the empire of khazaria is half it's size and next to it is the empire of turan (my de-♥♥♥-jure btw) and this new lil b*tch is MY EMPEROR! WTF!!?!?!!???!?!??!
mfking emperor of khazaria must've created the empire of turan title and given it to this new guy who became my new emperor in MY empire!
i've been playing for 80 hours and there has never been anything boring yet!

FINAL UPDATE:
After years of grueling war on multiple fronts, the day came when, playing as one of the descendants of the house of Ismail, i had no other choice but to abdicate the throne to my heir! With the empire of Turan gravely in debt, and overwhelmed by stress and desperation, the ruler, thus concluded that it is best for everyone to take his own life! The tragic end of a weak, pathetic, unworthy ruler!
His son succeeded him, but was confronted with the avaricious and covetous nature of his cousins who, in the end defeated him, took the throne and his lands and banished him from the realm! A wanderer he became, and fled south of the border! Shortly after, he instituted a band of mercenaries and thus lived the remaining of his days! (this is when i decided to stop playing and start simply spectating the game till the end; i think it's unsurprising to say that i was very dissatisfied about the whole situation)
Years passed... the new emperor, although having forcefully taken the throne, has proven himself to be a worthy and capable ruler! He consolidated the empire and built up its army to a standard never before seen across Turan!
But, as fate would have it, the mongolian empire eventually crept up on the borders of our territories! An unforgiving war ensued, but with the mongolian empire amassing almost 70000 troops from its vassals, our forces of just around 30000 were no match! The emperor died in the war, and his cowardly son dissolved the empire and put himself on the leash of the mongols!
Decades more passed yet again, and, as glory never stays asleep for too long, a new ruler came to be! This courageus madlad was THE ONLY ONE who declared and spear-headed dissolution war against the mongols! Other little spineless cowards never joined him, but instead fought their weak little opportunistic independance wars with their equally spineless friends! Some succeeded, but most were crushed under the mongolian hordes!
The first dissolution war lasted 10 years and ended in defeat, having no help from many of his fellow vassals, but only from a few true friends! Crushed by the mongols, he did not lose hope however! And a couple of years later fought ANOTHER war for dissolution! This time it ended short of 6 years, in defeat! He died of old age without having realised his dream of LIBERATION FOR ALL! He never faltered and never licked the boot of the barbaric scum! (needless to say i was so amazed at this and so proud of my great great great great great great.... great grandson)
But all was not lost! After a couple more decades, the time of the mongolian empire was coming to an end! With a descendant of the mongols coming to the throne, dissolving the empire himself, and giving the constituting smaller empires to the other members of his dinasty!
This marked the last and final glory of the House of Ismailid!
With the empire weakened, the House of Abassid came to power from the south of the souther mongolian empire! They swiftly crushed them, dissolved the southern empire of Mongolia and reinstituted the old PERSIAN EMPIRE! The House of Ismailid though kept it's independance on the very borders of this newly reborn empire!
