Hunchback short thumbs up, but still thumbs!
Brief unpacking:
Hobo Pinball Wizard Killer
Hot Daddy Survivor
Incredible Graphics Update (not DLC, but worth mentioning)
Very good Perks
BREAKDOWN:
The Killer is atrocious to play. His ability requires a good sense of map awareness, and harsh control of skill mechanics. He takes the worse parts of the Hillbilly and the Nurse, and puts it together. The ability, for the moment, is best used to traverse terrain, and get a surprise first hit. Unless the survivors are dumb, and beeline straight, I doubt you should use the ability for second hit (down.) I foresee a mechanic tweak in the future, or the gimmick will only be played against newer survivors and customs. Oh, and did I mention? HE'S SHORT AF. Can't see? Too bad. RIP.
However, I love his perks, bringing back a love for hex builds. Dragon's Grip is a Pig's "Make Your Choice" for generators, and I think will stack great w/ Pyramid Head's Trail of Torment (due to DG small time frame.) This will counter searching for survivors who hide nearby after finding a worked-on generator, and you can focus on other obj unless they trigger, in which they'll pay the price for.
Blood Favor is niche, working for the Blight, but not sure how it will help otherwise. Locks down pallets after a hit, AND it's a hex, so there's a lot of "What if" situational behind it. It may confuse a survivor once, and for a moment, but that would be it and avoided afterwards.
Undying is the BREAD AND BUTTER perk of all hexes. Now, if you happen to break a totem, and it's NOT this totem, then your other totem is saved and moved to another dull totem. HOLY TOTEM ROULETTE BATMAN! This brings back hex kits, for not only making them a possible new standard, but also really fun to play and mix up games to make every one feel different. They also give a few secs of vision on the survivor, so added clarity, and that makes it all the better. NEW STANDARD FOR ALL HEX BUILDS.
Felix looks exactly like me, and I love me, so it's great to see my own character model in the game. I love his perks, and against other reviews here, are actually very good. First off, Awareness: Are you kitten me right meow?! This ability is so good for new players, or those who haven't learned every generator spot on the map. It's almost OP on how much clarity it gives for non-pro sweaty players, and that sort of adjustment can really change the game for new player perk kits (much like all Feng Min's abilities, and Kate's "Window's of Opportunity.")
Desperate Measures, or aka "Reverse Thanatopia", is niche, but it can stack quite nicely when the odds are stacked against you. It's not OP, it's not terrible, and some perks need to ride that middle ground to adapt to the circumstances of the game. I think it's good for those who don't know a 4th perk to fill their kit.
The last perk, Built to Last, is not great. However, if you're an item dependent person, like a pro flashlighter carrying your team, and you stack it w/ other item juiced perks (Like Nea's,) then it might work well for you.
I hope this simplified and broke down all the benefits, but also underlined the cons. Maybe it works for you, maybe it doesn't, but hey: That's every DLC in this game. I'm super happy with the visual updates, and now as a survivor ENJOY repairing the generator just to see the beautiful sparks fly. Some maps got updated as well, and I'm excited for all the VGU they are working on for the entire game. Exciting times, happy slaughtering !
