This dlc gives me mixed feelings. I decided to get all of the achievements for this dlc and it was as bad as people were talking about. Although there were many bad parts about this dlc, there was also a part I greatly enjoyed and it was a fun experience. (Note: I haven’t played Dishonored for a while and it was the first time I played on pc. The only mission I did before playing the dlc was the intro.) I want to point out certain things that stand out for dlc for better or for worse.

By My Hand Alone (~2 hours)
(Get to wave 13 in Back Alley Brawl killing all contestants personally)
This achievement was the one I had the least enjoyment in. Not only is each run tedious, it also was slow as each round transition takes a couple of seconds to start up. Which is not bad on a normal playthrough, but after many restarts it became very annoying. The achievement is heavily based on rng rather than skill. There were many times where somebody died just as the round started. Now the thing that pissed me off the most is how frequent my kills are stolen from me. I was slashing at an enemy and someone shot him. So I decided to assassinate them. This is where I learned that you can still assassinate somebody even if they are DEAD. I go into every round praying that I don’t get screwed over by Dishonored's jank.

Headhunter (~2 hours)
(Complete Assasin’s Run with 100% accuracy using headshots)
I have to admit that I did use glitches to achieve this. Every shot had to be a headshot and the mission really had to be a dick about it. One of the 2 enemies you have to shoot can teleport and move around a lot. Luckily for you they only do this if they see you. Unlucky for you there are 2 rooms that force you to be spotted. Luckily the last room is one of these but it can be skipped with glitches while the other one has a spot where it forces the enemy to be in a corner for an easy shot. The other enemy are the plague victims. This is the room where the most resets happen. Since they are always bobbing their head up and down I would miss or instead hit the back of their neck. This achievement was at least based on skill rather than rng so I didn’t have the worst time with it.

Daredevil (~40 minutes)
(In Bonfires, perform all the special combinations in 1 round)
This achievement highlights one of the biggest problems in this dlc. Hiding mechanics from the player. This achievement gives you no hints on how to achieve this jump. Not only that, it is rng on which the circle is active. Forcing people to study on youtube videos on how to do these jumps. After learning all the jumps, the mission wasn’t too bad and I did enjoy the runs since it didn’t take me too much time.

Time Management (~1 hour)
(Finish Chain Kill or Bend Time Massacre without failing any wave, including bonuses)
This was the first achievement I decided to get after hearing about how many problems people had with this one. But I actually enjoyed my time getting this achievement. I decided to do Bend Time Massacre. The 2 big problems with this are the long resets and bonus rounds. But honestly the bonus rounds were not too bad and I enjoyed planning on how to execute my plan. On the normal rounds you are able to try again if you failed. I failed on round 6, tried again and was able to get the achievement. I do not know if I just got lucky and the games jank went in my favor but I still got it.

Void Star
(Complete all Normal and Expert challenges)
Getting this achievement was probably the start of me truly enjoying the dlc more. I enjoyed the variety of challenges the dlc provided. But there was a major recurring problem with the missions. I will point out some of the stand out missions.
(Mystery Foe)
For this one you have to get clues in order to find out who to kill. The game tells you if you kill the target with no clues you get bonus points but this will not get you 3 stars. Instead if you find 3/4 clues and then guess you will get way more bonus points. But thankfully you can just find the 4 clues fast and then kill the target.
Unlike the normal mode of bonfire there are enemies and you don’t have infinite mana. You can replenish mana by collecting vials. This one had rng before but now you have to pray that it's not too far and that there are vials on the way. Sometimes you can get stunlocked by the enemies and then immediately die as they swarm you. It was hard but I also enjoyed it. It was a “mostly” fun way to make it harder to beat.
This was my last mission to 3 stars and was the hardest mission out of the selection to get 3 stars. And on this mission it has one of the recurring problems of not telling you things. You have to collect 6 eggs without being caught too many times and then escape. But you can also collect other valuables to increase your points. But the game doesn’t tell you how the points are influenced by certain stats. When you collect a coin the game checks for how many times you were seen, how many guards are dead/unconscious, and most importantly HOW MANY EGGS YOU HAVE. You get more points if you collect the eggs first and then start looting. WHY. The game does not tell you anything about this. While knowing this I barely managed to make it out with 3 stars barely by depending on Bend Time and Dark Vision. And then I entered the expert level. The biggest modifier for this one is that you have no supernatural abilities. At first I loathed the idea of doing this mission, but as I played more of the mission, I started really enjoying it. It was fun to learn the patrol patterns and properly learn the map. I had the best time on this mission and it is one of my favorite missions. Seeing my progress as I slowly got better was rewarding. Although I almost had a seizure when I got caught for the 3rd time ending my run when I had all the points and was seen at the exit. This mission tested my skills and made me think more about how to approach the situation.

Overall, I would say that I did enjoy the dlc and would say it's worth the price. (It's $3 on full price) Hunting for the achievements was a pain but I did enjoy the process. This dlc has a problem with rng and hiding things but there is a lot of fun to be had when challenging yourself to do the achievements. It took me around 9 hours to fully beat. If you are not doing achievements then the dlc still provides a lot of variety of challenges which are for the most part fun and cool.
