I have a soft spot for any homage to the legendary Robotron: 2084, but this game barely passes the grade, even for $2.99. The main thing a fast paced, twin-stick shooter needs is tight controls, and the controls here lean towards floaty and unresponsive. Making your character have momentum is just a bad idea when you have to constantly thread the needle. And why must you hold the trigger to fire, why not map the right stick to aim and fire? You know, like Robotron. Worth an hour of your time when it goes on sale, but just too clunky to give it anything but a halfhearted thumbs up.
