I personally enjoy this DLC, being able to go back in time and experience pre-war events for more than just five minutes *cough* Fallout 4 *cough* is really fun, and especially when it centers around a snow-covered Alaska. (A landscape that rarely shows up in Fallout games)
Positives -
. Fun short linear story that doesn't attempt to be anything more
. Decent rewards including the best broken armor in the game (cool looking too)
. FPS COD like gameplay that manages to work and be fun within the Fallout universe
Negatives -
. No replayability
. No cause of action
. Despawning bodies become quite annoying after about 5 minutes
. Incredibly short
. No real climax, or a very dull one
. Like most Fallout DLC's could have been expanded upon and would be great with a little more effort
Conclusion -
I find Operation Anchorage to be a short, fun and non replayable DLC that gives a break from the dull green of the Capital Wasteland to a pitch white of Anchorage. I would recommend it, although I would never say it's great by any means.
