have had since started this game time to time just random game close crash to dekstop but major one is same as a guy had during launch of this game what crashes ur entire PC and only way to get back into is force shut down or restart only diffrence i assume mabe he was still goin with DX 11 with gtx 980 series and im on RTX 3070ti with DX 12
heres the crash apperently still happens to this day ive been huge hitman since the first games back in the day so this is sad got to give it thumbs down my game usualy 99% of time tryed vsync the game dosent help cause it always happens when looking map or wana check the intel and stuff fans go 100% for a second then calm down or when u load multible times your save games in short periods of times then the realy big crash usauly happens when game sound still comes through for few secs and screen black for my luck i realy havent had any big issues with any previous releases so this freaking makes me so mad right now probly just play the missions once and be done with the game cause it pisses me the f off

Hitman 2 crashes entire PC
I'm trying to troubleshoot my PC crashes that occur while Hitman 2 is running. My system also used to crash when I played Hitman 2016 and if remembering correctly even once in Blood Money in the same way. The crashes happen in various places, once even in the pause screen (where the current frame is displayed in the backgound), but never in other menus. Even though it is my entire system crashing I think the problem is specific to Hitman (or maybe the Glacier engine) as it never happened in Monster Hunter World in 150 hours, a game that almost always has my GPU usage at 100%, or any other games with high GPU or CPU utilization. While I was playing on Hokkaido for the Snow Festival or Fugitive ET it was so bad that I literally couldn't play for 2 minutes without crashing and wasn't able to finish the ET after 4 tries (so far).

When my PC crashes my monitor turns black immediatly and says that it lost HDMI it's connection, but my PC keeps running as if nothing happened (spinning fans etc.). I can hear the game sounds through my headset for some more seconds before they also stop and I can continue talking in Discord without problems, other than the fact that I can't see anything. The only way to turn off the computer is through a force shutdown.

Verifying the game files or running the Windows system checker hasn't helped. I already tried running a memory test in my BIOS for 2 hours, but it didn't show me any problems. The crash also happened on different Nvidia driver versions. It doesn't seem like any of my components are overheating. The Windows Relibility Monitor showed me that on my last crash Hitman2.exe stopped working together with dwm.exe (Desktop Windows Manager, the Windows aero stuff), which amazingly crashed 8 times, all within one minute.
