my experience/thoughts
i think is a very cute platformer. this isn't a genre i prefer but is very enjoyable!
i got this game to play with my family and random people, we were all very hyped to play it after trying the demo
finally when the game released but when we found out that you cannot make a party with your friends and then try to play with random people we were disappointed.
the devs explained is to prevent griefing, but in a game that forces you to co op, if you want to grief you will hurt yourself too during the gameplay... i get that there will always be someone who will abandon everyone but their friends but in a game so wholesome i believe people will not grief...
sadly this decision the devs took is what killed the game.
we were waiting for months to see if they would revert this option, or have a different queue list for small groups that look for other random people to play with to complete a party... but nothing happened...
we just stopped playing the game, and seems everyone else has done the same.
it might have been a good choice for protecting people from griefing, but it has killed the whole playerbase and honestly it makes me quite sad, the game was wonderful and wholesome but that single choice made people stop playing.
