As someone who doesn't even properly know this main character because my intro to the game was Ichiban, it's going great so far! I was surprised by the fighting style, but again I reiterate, my first game was Ichiban's so that really says enough. Actually I kind of hate turn-based combat so this is right up my alley!
Graphics are beautiful, fighting is smooth, and story has me hooked so far. There's a bit of a stutter when starting a cutscene, but Like A Dragon also did that for me, so it may be something on my end that I haven't checked in on yet. It's barely noticeable anymore for me cause I got used to it.
I'm sure the people who already know this main character from the past games are loving this, but as a new player to the franchise, I'm slightly confused. Not enough to be too disorientated, but just enough to be curious about the past games, so I guess I gotta award you for that.
