Personal words about the game: It is been quite a while since I bought this game, and when I first saw the game in this series, I did not even have my own computer. So, this game has always been one that I wanted to play as a child but never got the chance to.
There is something to tell about the story: The story is narrated by a man who everyone thinks is a vampire, but he actually is not. A woman, chosen by magic itself, beautifies the world in a way that reduces the needs of the wizards. The vampire, tired of loneliness, tasks us to destroy everything done by someone who is actually good in order to have more wizards around. In reality, we are the ones who are bad, but who cares? Magic is wonderful.
Retinal Pleasure or Art: The game's visuals are very vibrant, and the effects of various spells are also quite impressive. Additionally, it has an art design that does not contradict the game's unique humorous style. Moreover, the design of characters, wizard robes, and enemies is also quite beautiful.
Mechanics: The second best thing about the game after its humorous style is its mechanics. I will explain the mechanics by dividing them into two parts.
Non magic aspects: The mechanics related to non magic elements are somewhat ordinary, which is quite normal. Additionally, in the game, certain objects and spells can push you around, which can sometimes be quite absurd.
Magic related mechanics: Forget everything you have seen, read, or played about magic in any other game. Magic here is nothing like you have experienced before. I will explain this in two different ways. First, the basic spells. There are 8 fundamental spells, and they can be combined to create different spells. Each reflects its own element and has completely different sensations. You can cast spells, use them on yourself, combine them with your sword, or create explosions around you. Moreover, each has its own status effect. In addition to these, there are Magicks. These are more powerful spells created by arranging basic spells in a specific pattern. They are not controlled like the others. Also when playing with others, you will notice that spells can create even more diverse combinations.
Nomismata: If you want additional costumes and challenge maps, you can purchase them, but I will not say much about them since I have not bought them.
Atto Finale: In summary, I enjoyed the game. If you are looking for a game with a bit of challenge, beautiful spells, and a quality sense of humor, give this one a try. Plus, it can be played with other players, which is a bonus.
