This is a dog-eat dog world of corruption, murder and sex – and as the new kid on the block you’re looking a little like ‘milk on the bone’! Mob Rule is a Real-Time Strategy game that simulates an underworld grab for power, wealth and real estate. You’ll start off as a small time thug and you’ll have just enough assets to build a soup kitchen. I bought Mob Rule in a Jewel Case at a Pic N' Save as a child. It was bizarre to me then and it's bizarre to me now, but what a gem. An early game that made a lot of interesting game design choices that paid off big for the player, with enough tactics and nuance to be compelling. Finding out the devs took this formula to new games was exciting for me, but Mob Rule, even as their first iteration, has a unique charm to it.
