SOUL.
Lord Jashin Approves.
If you ever been remotely interested in Naruto as a series these are games you should be playing.
UNS2 encompasses the following Arcs: Homecoming, Kazekage Rescue, Reunion, Immortal Akatsuki, Itachi and PAIN. You are here for the Itachi and PAIN fights and they deliver, they are big part of the series and stellar at that.
Obligatory comment on Connections: I would recommend everyone to pick Legacy over Connections. Connections does a poor job encompassing the series the way each UNS game does individually. You can skip Connections and Revolution unless you really want MORE that badly.
Every UNS game has its quirks and its own uniqueness. UNS2 is very focused on delivering Boss Fights and placing the spotlight on fan favorite moments of the franchise which are a BIG part of the franchise appeal in general. Later and previous games focus some more on the actual fighting. UNS3 adds knockouts and a form of Dynasty Warriors like open combat segments against mobs and multiple enemies. UNS4 is all about special effects. UNS2 is all about that story mode.
It is not a hard game (UNS3 is much HARDER) but it is a great spectacle game with plenty of content, dedication to the series, REAL Voice Acting done for the game alone and the music is just great all around. Several character themes are ear candy.
Gameplay wise, it is a button masher fighting game with a good solo mode and an online mode too if you find another person to play with which is usually the case around Winter / Summer Sale time. For a fighting game, this is really easy to pick up and play.
Grab it and just have a good time. You can also play against the CPU in free battles.
The music, animations and places you explore are all heartwarming. The story moves in a straight forward pace with side missions and other content reserved for the post-game. The post-content is a victory lap and what possibly extends to 10+ hours of content replaying missions, doing side missions with other characters and the usual humor of the series sprinkled here and there.
I need to remark how big of a deal Itachi and Pain are to the series, this is really a must for anyone who just want to see what the series is about.
