To the other guy who reviewed this and can't be bothered to read: You unlock the BMW by progressing the Speed Pass. The base model is unlocked at level 30 and you don't actually need the premium track for it.
As for review the Premium Pass itself, I was hoping for an older car but I do dig the Mustang Dark Horse. I'm not very keen on wagons but the M3 does have it's fans so I'm sure other people will love it, at least I'll make sure to use the extra body area for making liveries. Customization for both cars is top-notch as always.
The new projections are awesome but still have the caveat from the previous pass, it being that you can't tint them. I understand it for these as they are animated and are themed after Underground but man do I wish I could tint the projections from Vol. 6 to my heart's content and pull off some sick color combos.
The new animated plates are also a very welcome addition, I'm honestly surprised we didn't get them earlier.
The new driving effects are cool-looking but I can't help but wish for more stylized effects in the same vein of those we got on release, or at least an option to tint older ones as we please and add graffiti emotes to them as all the ones from Vol. 6 and beyond lack them.
Outside of the pass, the new update is amazing. The drag mode and the new drift tires are lots of fun. It's actually incredible how much you can break the drift zone scores with them, the new dedicated game mode is awesome too and I do hope they add some playlists with collisions turned on.
Can't wait for what's in store for Volume 8. Oh and Criterion, please give the photo mode the love it deserves.
