I have some 50,000 hours in-game time from 2004 till now.
Whatever you've heard about OSRS respecting your time and having fair MTX practices can get shoved aside.
The private firms that own Jagex (makers of RuneScape) are currently looking at new monetization practices which includes ads, restricted world access, shorter inactivity timers, and increased prices.
I'm not saying it isn't worth playing but you should approach cautiously until they back off their bullshit.
