Game is 100%'d at time of this review.
5/10
This game is basically if you took the concept of is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon, had the collect them all aspect similar to pokemon, combined it with a visual novel, and made it a yuri hentai dungeon crawler with battle strip mechanics. I was going to play through this without the R18 patch, but the succubus orb wasn't given to me without adding it, and I wanted to make sure nothing affected the 100% completion. ****Make sure you play the game on the beta branch in order to get all achievements as some are bugged unless played through the beta branch****
That being said, I was honestly surprised, as this game actually has some damn good CG's. The art, the intimacy are all good, but as with any sakura style game, there is a very distinct art style, which ends up making the characters look pretty much the same. Sure they're different monster girls, different outfits, different color schemes, but the nudity doesn't have much variance.
In terms of gameplay I have a few complaints especially in regard to the 100%ing:
Let shiny lures stack. Shiny lures are extremely necessary in the latter half of the game in order to get the 5000 enemies killed achievement. Even with those being applied every 100 steps, it took hours for me to finish the game once I actually had already beaten everything else. Being able to use them all and have the 100 steps stack would be nice to speed things up.
Auto battle/Skip battle should stay on once activated. Having to reactivate it every time you enter a fight is quite ridiculous, especially considering you see 1-3 enemies per fight (unless its a special encounter in the story) which makes it very tedious for the 5000 enemy kills. You gotta do it damn near 2000 times..
This is one of those games that came in the Sakura brand bundle I bought 7 years ago, if it wasnt for the game being dirt cheap (on sale) and in that collection I never would have bought it. Definitely do not buy for full price!
Funny enough I even bought this game in a collection, refunded it, then bought it again 5 months later (according to steam at least lmao). I don't remember it but oh well. Not like I've bought more of these kinda games since then, but I may as well 100% what I have for the AGCR :)
