In my opinion:
A great project wasted by bad management.
By my experiences, SCUM devs are living in an echo chamber. They only accept "constructive" feedbacks, which actually means the feedbacks they like, and fit their agenda. If a player complains about a thing the devs are currently working on or have plans for it in their roadmap, that complaint is the best! Everyone should behave like that and be constructive! You cannot be frustrated by their work after playing hundreds of hours, reading all dev blogs, filling questionaires, following Discord discussions. If you are, then your opinion does not matter to them, and will be deleted/blocked.
Dear beloved Devs,
You are still not being transparent. Your roadmap is unclear, the concepts you have abandoned are unknown. You do not address the release date expectations, you do not address people complaining about the horde system. It's been 6 years of early access, but you still state that "you decide to take your time, and do not give a timeline for your updates in order not to create a hype." Even if you're hardworking, you do not show it to us!
I understand there are major contents are coming, which is necessary to keep the game alive. That is much appreciated. However, there are frequently similar feedbacks you are receiving, and you simply ignore them. There are much more important issues that ruin the enjoyment, but adding new content on top of it is not helping. It feels like you are just trying to "fulfill" some promises you've made publicly, so you won't get slammed, and the work you show is the "bare minimum", just enough to be able to say "We did what we promised." Of course this is my opinion from following your updates for years. Feel free to disagree.
You've changed dev logs like a joke. Instead of a word, you've put the word in a self explanatory sentence without any additional info. Changing "Fruit: Apple added." into "After continuous observations, the dev team decided to implement an additional fruit for extra nutritional value for the players so they have more to eat. Considering player feedbacks lead us to select "apple" for this occasion, because everybody loves apples and an apple a day keeps the doctor away". We do not ask for empty words, we ask for more information.
You may use the blogs as follows:
"We have received your feedback about the horde system. This issue will be addressed after 1.0 release immediately."
"Cheater problem is currently being addressed, and possible solutions will be applied within the next 2 months."
"Blablabla problem has been scheduled for the 4th quarter of this year."
You will probably delete and/or ignore this as you have deleted my comments in Discord, and Steam discussions, and it feels like it's just because this feedback does not suit your emotional expectations. Players cannot be frustrated after a decade of development that does not fulfill promises, but offers Weapon Skins, Charms, Vehicle Skins, Hairstyles DLCs. They have to contact you with all the kindness and love, sensitivity, and care you need, otherwise you automatically consider it as "toxic, misinformation, unrelated" etc.
