Personally I think the DLC being short is completely fine. It's short but sweet.
Though I think the negative reviews about it being "too short" are a bit too harsh. This isn't an entire feature length game you're buying, it's a short DLC story to add a bit of extra enjoyment to the game. Which enjoyment was what they were going for.
The price itself is a bit on the pricey side, the season pass is an option.
