If your wanting to play this because you loved the original version, than you'll probably like this game. HOWEVER, if you are like me. You don't like to only have one major thing in a game that you continuously do over and over again, and nothing changes. Than you wont like this game.
In this game there are 2 side things you can do, and 2 major things you can do in this game. The major things are what you haft to do in order to get anywhere. 1- Farm (Animals and crops)
2-Social (talking to neighbors to get hearts)
--They don't have alot of lines so you will get
the same line over and over
The Side things are fishing and mining, I say mining but its really you going into a cave and clicking square or "x", depending on what your playing on. Then you wait through an ANIMATION only to click that same button. There is nothing else in there, NO monsters, NO rocks. only a small area and you, as well as two random npc that work there. Mind you these npc will also get in your way as well.
Fishing, this is the same as mining. Click and wait through animation. Then click and wait again after it catches.
This game is heavily surrounded by you gaining hearts for the villagers and your spouse and child. The story cutscenes do not add up to awhole lot of time, as they only appear after the year is over.
A year in game is 20 hours worth of time
a season is 5 hours.
There is a total of 6 years in this game.
So, if you are ok with going around handing things to characters and just alot of waiting. Then this game is for you, but I got tired of this game after a year and a half, so 24 hours of play. Then I started sleeping for 3 days clean and feed the animals and repeat until I finished the story. Ending with 30 some hours. This took forever.
I will mention that I have played other cozy farm games. This one just has nothing to do. Everything in this game is preset and built for you. There is no building and designing your farm, nor is there cutting down trees. There is only the social aspect in the game and nothing else.

Storyline

Your new life begins in Forgotten Valley, a tranquil community where your father and his friend Takakura once dreamed of running a farm. As you befriend the valley’s residents and fulfill your father’s legacy, you’ll live a carefree life on the farm growing crops and raising animals. As the seasons go by, you’ll find your lifelong partner, raise a child together, and watch them grow up before your very eyes. After each day’s work on the farm is done, you can go fishing, hunt for ancient treasures at the local dig site, or chat with your friends in town to build precious memories. And when the years have passed, your child will be old enough to choose a career for themselves... Will they inherit the farm? Or will they find their calling somewhere else? Only time will tell.
