PD for Steam Deck users: Works as intended but, you may encounter small texts regarding subtitles. Plus, no tweaking is required here!
Grace: college dropout, with no direction in life, #tell to us, girl. Lady Fate like to spice her life by intertwining hers with Calliope, whose strings of life ended in Grace's apartment #dead lesbian syndrome alert. A week is her true motivation to clean her reputation… and to discover the origin of the Stray Gods.
PROS:
Visual Novel meets Broadway Musicals. As the power of the Muse, it's up to us to influence the course of the song to control your actors. Sweeten them with strings in a green "string"y tone, fire them up with a "bass"y the red tone, or outsmart them in a blue "clarinet"y way. See what I did? Pretty dumb and original.
Voice over included during the whole story That would be weird if they only sing, but they don't speak during the game, right? (Btw, poor the one who does Grace, singing all along, I would be mad as hell)
Greek mythology . A quick attractive for some, not only because of the naked bodies (which they don't appear, in case you are asking! ). Have you heard of Olympus? There you have it. Eros, god of s*x, being awkwardly shy? Spot on.
Dynamical songs. Wondered why they are more OSTs than the game? #thoughNobodyCares... The songs are the branches of this game, as if they programmed the songs inside the game. The composer itself claimed to be among 100 variations in your final (boss) song. Not going to replay it 100 times to prove him wrong...
CONS:
Visual Novel's gameplay: Just choosing the best choice for you is the most exciting you can do with your hands… #NoOffense, Benny
Simple plot: . Don't expect too much of a triller here, when not singing, story can feel slow at times, as it someones watches a musical interlude between acts. Wait, is that really theater?
So, what do you think?
It is obvious that the forte is their songs, but the story, although small, seems as a foundation to mix them all. Greek mythology got me into this , but I ended up listening the songs in my commuting time to work.
