✨ A Childhood Favorite
I’ve been playing Suikoden I & II since I was a kid, and no matter how many times I return to these games, they still hold the same magic. There’s just something about them that no other JRPG has ever quite captured. The 108 Stars of Destiny, the unforgettable characters, the political intrigue, the heartbreak—every moment feels alive. Suikoden I & II aren’t just my favorites—they’re also the favorites of my brother and sister. We all grew up with these games, and they’ve stayed with us through the years. Suikoden II, especially, holds a special place in our hearts.
🎮 Back to Suikoden II!
I just finished Suikoden I! Now, I’m beyond excited to fully experience Suikoden II again, especially in all its remastered glory! What a dream come true after idk how long... 25 years?? T^T I can’t wait to relive every moment, from the epic battles to the emotional highs and lows—especially the friendship between Riou, Nanami, and Jowy. Their journey isn’t just about war and destiny; it’s about growing up, facing impossible choices, and trying to hold onto the people who matter most. Their friendship actually reminds me a lot of Harry, Hermione, and Ron—but I experienced Suikoden II first! It’s a story that stuck with me just as much, and no matter how many years pass, I always find myself coming back to it. 🥹
🥹 Suikoden I—Things That Could Be Better
That said, Suikoden I has a few things I wish were improved. The rune pieces that couldn’t be attached to weapons confused me—Idk why were they even there?!!!!! T^T I kept wondering if I was missing something. Also, managing character inventories was a struggle, especially when party members left, taking their items and important loot with them. So I have to play again for Ivanov's Mural and to complete the Old Books. Goodness! T^T A better way to track and manage equipment would have made things much smoother. But it's okay! I'll have to play everything in Hard Mode again anyway. 🥹
