Pretty disappointed by this DLC. I played the Art Vandals missions right before and they were fantastic. Every mission looked impossible on first glance but offered enough freedom for me to come up with crazy ideas and work up a plan to barely complete the missions with all optional objectives.
After that I was excited to play Time Campers only to be met with mindless missions that don't offer any challenge and close to no creative freedom on how to complete them. Whoever designed these levels didn't understand what made Teardown fun. It wasn't just the destruction. It was coming up with a plan on how to beat an impossible looking task and then using the building blocks of the map to create a path that is totally unique to you.
Time Campers doesn't offer any of that. When you enter a new level the optimal route is often very clear at first glance and building a path to execute on it is also very straightforward. Many of the new tools, while not groundbreaking, had some potential but the game offered no scenario in which they would have been useful.
I bought the season pass because of the high quality of the base game but this first DLC falls extremely flat in comparison. I really hope for the rest of the DLCs Saber Interactive looks at the base game missions to learn what made them fun.
