Eddy main player REVIEW for Tekken 8 Eddy (ranked Mighty Ruler in Tekken 7 online as Eddy):
POSITIVE:
+some new moves like a new very funny easy to execute spam combo that is about to repeatedly press only one button, (I don't really know if it's positive as it's kinda lame but it's so funny to perform on weaker players and watch them struggling)
+some of his basic moves has been extended to have another hit in combo,
+he has now very fast attacks...
NEGATIVE:
-...but his general "quickly tapping" movement speed seems to be slower,
-why some of the basic attacks has been remapped to another buttons?! it makes returning Eddy main players confused,
-HALF OF THE EDDY MOVESETS FROM PAST GAMES HAS BEEN REMOVED - you lost like 50% of Eddy classic moves and you earned like 20% new ones - thats a big dislike from me,
-you can't lay on the ground anymore (instead you can just crouch for one second and quickly execute an attack),
-you can't walk on hands anymore (if you are on hands stance you can only execute two types of attacks now),
-you have only one launcher that is starting from LOW attack.

4/10 // MIXED (mostly negative)
Quick summary:
This is a very simplified version of Eddy. To be honest except the animations it has nothing from for example Tekken 7 or past games Eddy. His playstyle has been totally reworked. Even the "X O X O" attack has been removed... When I'm playing the new Eddy I have feelings that I'm playing a fast character like Viktor without too many launchers. This is a total Eddy rework.
If you want to play old-style Eddy then you will be dissapointed.
If you would like to try some kind of fast-attack Eddy hybrid without too many launchers or you are beginner in Tekken series then you might like the character as he has very quick attacks now.
