Review:
EDIT: Wasn't the Entire purpose of killing Heihachi to have other Fan-Favourite non-Mishima Characters in the Spotlight?!
It would've been interesting if TEKKEN 7 was Heihachi's Redemption Arc, TEKKEN 8 is Jin's and TEKKEN 9 as Kazuya's Redemption Arc.
I would've been more accepting of Heihachi's Resurrection if it was done through Supernatural means, such as:
A. Reina;
B. Kazumi's Devil/Akuma became Heihachi after losing (Heihachi's Body was an empty Vessel and Demons like Fire, they would survive Volcanoes!) or
C. TEKKEN 4/Blood Vengeance: Heihachi's Immortal OGRE Experimentations prevented Death
D. Bring Back Ogre and/or Kazumi and/or Resurrect Jinpachi for an even bigger Final Conflict in TEKKEN 9 to Double-Down or
E. even added a Chapter 16 to The Dark Awakens with Heihachi fighting Jin
AND also revealed the Final Season 1 Character to end the sub-plot, unless...all of these Characters are coming back?!
Prediction:
This seems just to be for Heihachi to be the Antagonist again with Reina CLEARLY as a Sub-boss for Kazuya in TEKKEN 9
Evidence: : If you haven't read the Details in Unforgotten Echoes or plan to play it don't reveal:
Reina is Kazuya's Blood-related Sister
"You can't be serious!...Damn you, Heihachi!" - Now I want Kazuya to Win the next Tournament...
...and like that there's no point to anyone buying or playing TEKKEN 7, everything has been Retconned, even Kazumi AND Heihachi.
Every Moment of the Unforgotten Echoes Story, all I could think is "For Fuck Sake! (Facepalm!)". "Somehow has returned!" is what we got!
Such a shame after how well crafted "The Dark Awakens" Story was.
I'm so bored of beating Heihachi's tired old ass! Bring me another Villain!
He should've stayed dead in TEKKEN 7 and not made part of TEKKEN 8's Story.
