The idea of having a bloodhound as your companion to help with hunting/tracking hard, very hard, Mythic, legendary animals sounds like an amazing extra tool - until you get the DLC and realize that the bloodhound only helps you with tracking "Blood trails" they dont actually help you "Track" the animal. When I bought this I was hoping it would give a more authentic minimized or no HUD hunting experience, where I could use the dog to track the animals and I would get rid of the "hunting clues" and the hud would essentially be provided through the dogs interactions in the world - Nope - the hound only tracks a wounded animal... Which I dont need because I dont shoot unless I have a clear shot on something I know im going to kill - and when it runs - they dont go more than 100 feet or so before they fall over.... Such a HUGE waste of potential.
I cant recommend this DLC to anyone other than the worst of shots, and absolute beginners who may not have access to some of the bigger guns that have the "killing power" to take down the animals they are wanting to hunt. Otherwise - its just a minor annoyance having the dog around.
