Ironically for something called the High-Tech Hunting pack, 3/5s of it is oriented toward bow hunting.
While the night vision is being held up as the reason to get this pack, the true star of the show is the bow sight which somehow packs a holographic sight, a ballistic computer and a rangefinger into a tiny package that fits on your compound bow. Just aim at the target, hit R and it generates a new aiming point adjusted for range and projectile drop that completely takes out all the guess work out of archery.
On the other hand the scope and binoculars pretty much allow you to hunt as if it were day time, eliminating the range penalty to your ability to spot animals at a distance. That said between the two, the binoculars are far more useful than the scope since it comes with a range finder built-in, while the scope only goes to x20 magnification, which is less than even the default Ascent Scope which goes up to x24, and you can probably get away with highlighting your target with the binoculars and just shooting at the outline using a conventional scope.
The rest of the pack pretty much functions as a backdoor unlock similar to the Weapon Packs; The Koter is a free 65-pound bow and the Tracer arrows, while being slightly more expensive, give you access to arrows that let you hunt Class 1 and Class 7-9 game that are normally locked behind an Archery score.
Overall this pack isn't absolutely necessary like say Weapon Pack 1 and Tents and Blinds DLC but its a definite convenience if you like hunting at night or want to get a headstart on archery.
