First off, It's pronounced "apple-atchens" not "app-a-lay-chens", get it right EW.
Second off, this is a FANTASTICALLY detailed map, it is by far the most realistic foliage and I don't care that grinders complain. This map is a stillhunter's DREAM COME TRUE. For those who like to "just stalk around and shoot stuff" this is a great map, very rewarding hunts.
For those who like to sit in blinds or stands, you will find good places to set up, but not nearly as many super-easy ones that see for 400m like Silver Ridge or Te Awaroa.
The gun that comes with it is amazing, the only shame is that it is not applicable for tier 9 game animals, despite having massive penetration and expansion values for the bullets. The gun is almost worth it on it's own if you don't have the other muzzleloader DLC, which has better range but not as lethal and needs special scope which adds weight to your pack.
Overall if you like stillhunting and stalking things in a more realistic manner this map is definitely the one, make your grind money on other maps and have your fun here. Or just have fun here, the raccoons pay very well!
Definitely buy if it goes on sale for deep discount.
