And of course, secrets may be lurking in the shadowed canopies of the deep forest… But as always we can neither confirm nor deny the presence of vampires.

Alright. Tides of the Foscari, the second expansion for Vampire Survivors is really cool. I haven't had a chance to try out the new classes or weapons yet, but I have played on the new map and jammed the new tunes.
The new map is rowdy. It's a very cool forest setting with a maze, and kind of another maze, a bunch of cool enemies, and an interesting design in general which kind of snakes around the map a bit. There are some pretty tight areas which are quite challenging and easy to get bogged down in if you haven't upgraded yet; and the setting itself looks really fresh and interesting. Actually, the forest and lake setting is kind of refreshing inasmuch as it's not drab or dreary. Instead, it's very full of life. Life that wants to kill you, but life nonetheless, lol. I didn't really look into the enemy names, but it seemed like elves, dragons, and so on were on the hunt for my blood lol.

And the new tunes really help drive the experience. It's pretty riveting stuff. Totally keeps you in the moment.
I might update this in the future, but I'll keep it brief right now and just say that it adds some nice new flair to the base game experience with the new level and songs. And I imagine the new characters are likewise cool. Totally worth adding to your library IMO.

Storyline

Nestled deep within a continent-sized forest is Foscari Academy, a school where the elite of the world train their children for careers as powerful wizards, indefatigable generals, and expert spies. The Academy is divided into three houses, a premise hitherto untouched in all of fantasy fiction. Three students, one from each house, brave the journey into a forest stuffed with mythological creatures, all to have a jolly adventure, with absolutely nothing interrupting the whimsy. This is all mind-blowingly original stuff, we know, but it only gets better folks.
