The main game is decent if a bit buggy (some cleared by save and reload some noy). I can't recommend the DLC, Curie's involvement consists of a few voice lines, 1 maybe 2 "missions" of lose X staff for 12 hours and then she just provides a temporary buff to success chance for the cost of 200 resources every 5 mins. There's nothing for scouts to do at all, the patients you do get in have low success chances so the buff is almost mandatory - this isn't really an issue as trains carrying supplies come often enough to pay for it to be on 90% of the time.
