The first of many updates!
Humans of Earth! Thank you for being among the first to enter the Crashloop and challenge The Captain for his glorious title. We have been closely listening to your feedback since our launch last week. Our conclusion is that our players are a particularly intelligent and observant collection of humans. This first update includes important improvements, many we began working on this week, and a few that were already “in the works,” to use a colloquial human phrase. Here are some of the highlights for you to absorb with your fleshy brain!
Left Hand Support
Apparently some humans favor their left hand in combat, as opposed to their right. (Humans are a fascinating species!) We added support for holding two handed weapons with your left hand at the top of the handle or the right hand. We also added an optional setting to swap the thumbsticks on your controllers. Now you can obliterate your enemies with maximum comfort by massacring robots with your favorite human hand!
Looprunners Use Different Turbofists:
Looprunners have been hesitant to use each other’s turbofists in duels. Hesitation is impermissable! Now we’re forcing looprunners to not just capture each other’s turbofists, but also unleash their power in battle! Are you prepared to face a shuriken attack from FLAMEWAR? Or fight off zombies created by Knightmode? Hopefully you answered “yes,” because we put that into the game! (The only exception is the Hand Extension Fist. The looprunners aren’t ready to extend their hands just yet… but soon.)
Increased Difficulty:
Some humans, the ones who are not yet completely decapitated, crave more challenging robot combat. We love to witness more human deaths, so we made a number of small changes: we fixed a bug allowing players to dash faster than intended, populated hard crawls with more varied and challenging defendroids, added a deadly new duel arena level, and made the Hyperdome a touch more daunting. We look forward to implementing even more challenging combat in the near future. Be afraid!
Turbofist Combination Screen:
You can combine turbofists to give yourself new powers in the Crashloop. What are those powers? Find out by going to the shop and visiting the new interactive display, which informs humans about all the turbofists and their combinations as you unlock them. Can you unlock all 42 turbofist combinations? We highly doubt humans are capable of such mastery.
Hundreds More Narrative Animations:
Many humans enjoy conversing with their fellow looprunners in the Loading Room (as well as destroying and humiliating them with KO streaks). Those conversations are now more expressive with the addition of 600+ unique dialogue animations. Now every spoken line in the game has a custom animation. In the Loading Room, the looprunners are more animated. In the Crashloop, they will squash and stretch you!
Bug Fixes:
The bug fixes are small improvements. They are not as glamorous as the changes noted above, but we squashed a lot of bugs in a short amount of time and that deserves acknowledgement!!!
We will continue to listen to human feedback as we make changes to the game. We also reserve the right to abduct humans, dissect their brains, and suck the thoughts out of them directly, if we so choose.
