8BitBoy Review (gary the snail)
there are a lot of mechanics in this game that just don't make sense. i ended up with 6 lives after winning a bonus game. when i got a game over and reloaded, i went back to 3 lives. even though i originally started the level and the game autosaved with me having 6. but if you start a new level with only one life and get a game over, you'll reload with the one life you started the level with. that's pretty absurd. hitboxes are all over the place, controls can be unresponsive sometimes. saved power ups sometimes disappear when you try to use them. enemy patterns can be unfair. world 3 boss can be glitchy, i could not jump on it but i died when it charged me.
only positive things i can say is i kinda like world 4's futuristic aesthetic and the soundtrack is decent.
