After Us Review (✪ Katy<3)
After us is an adorable open world adventure without many boundaries. It mostly focuses on platforming parcour elements. Throughout the game you learn more and more abilities to move yourself forward as it is known from other platforming games. The story is unique and the idea behind it quite interesting. There isn't really much of a dialogue but well made cinematic cutscenes instead.
I didn't come across any of the optimization issues mentioned by others. I've got a average gaming PC, so I'd assume you'll be required to have a decent setup for a uninterrupted game experience.
Another downpoint is, that the game does require a controller and doesnt at all allow Mouse+Keyboard Play. It does make sense for that kind of games, but I'd really hope for the developers to include a MK Version as for some players are not comfortable playing with controllers.
As for the pricing, I find this game fairly expensive for what it offers. The different "stages" follow the same idea with just a change of platforming elements. It does get a little repetititve after some time. Though I think some platform riddles might be challenging for players that are kinda new to that genre.
Overall if you're a fan of platforming adventures in an adorable setting this might be the game for you, otherwise I wouldn't suggest spending that much money on this game. The story and setting is something new and unique, the platforming setup and abilities are well known from that genre and offer nothing particular new.
