Getting into the game I had high hopes I have seen the love from the community and the clips of people enjoying the game. Of course I removed those expectations going in and overall glad I did the game turning out to be a complete disappointment. One thing that stood out to me quickly was the complete lack of guidance for the player not bothering to keep them on track. Simply throwing them into a attic full of puzzles. The game-play is dreadfully slow as most puzzles can't be solved without help. Some are easier than others as you have to rely on the tapes for the answers, but some puzzles are so obscure that it's only a matter of time until you use a guide. Another factor that came to disappoint me greatly was the lack of scares. The game relied on the same boring animation over and over almost the entire game. So once you have seen it it no longer is scary and removes almost all the tension from the game itself. The games story isn't all that great either ending on a mystery depending on your ending right before things get good. You are encouraged to find lore tapes which only drip feed you the story the game has to offer. Which seems like an attempt to reel players in so the can cash in on their second title. The game-play doesn't even stand out literally being a children's show you make very little input besides when you get to type in your answers to Amanda. This writes itself as being more then what it is. Either a good or bad answer and her reaction simply getting more frustrated the more you answer poorly. Finally forcing the player to type the good answer as to move the story forward. This typing mechanic is almost never used properly besides a handful of times for one or two unique reactions. The game left me feeling very disappointed and unsatisfied with a very uninspiring story and pathetic and boring reused jump scares not worth anyone's time nor money. 4/10
