Bluey: The Videogame Review (Harlock)

This game is barely playable, definitely not by small kids, and even then simply not fun. You can tell every decision was made about around how they could put the least amount of money into developing a game that people will still buy because of the Bluey IP. They win, as this probably sold a million copies, despite being barely a game.
Most of this game is platforming. This is a bad choice for a small kids game in general, but when the controls and movement are inconsistent and non-responsive it's a bad choice for everyone. For example when you press jump while moving your character might jump then, or depending on where you're standing on the object that you're on you might jump a half second later.
This type of clunky inconsistency is present throughout the movement of characters in every environment. Expect to often get stuck on things. Expect to have to move around an object 5-10 times before you're perfectly positioned where it will allow you to pick it up.
Even if you could forgive the incredibly poorly designed game, and you just wanted to take the controls yourself so your kid could just follow along with the story and enjoy some additional Bluey content, you will be disappointed. The character dialogue is just not funny. No, I don't mean poorly written jokes, I mean there just are not jokes. It's basically just characters talking about what you need to do. "Oh no the fridge is open run and close the fridge... good job sport closing that fridge" "oh no the sprinklers are on, but the spigot is past all the sprinkler heads. You better go turn it off."
So they paid for the rights for the IP, then they paid the voice actors, then presumably they paid one intern to paste a bunch of bluey sprites onto a barely functional game engine. That's it. There is literally not a single redeemable thing in this 'game'. For the money this company is stealing they should be ashamed, but for the disappointed and frustration they caused for thousands of kids and parents they should be banned from this industry and forced to wear signs of public shame so all who see them know what they have done.
