Bomber Crew Review (Redshift258)
I've never left a review on steam but I have to say something. This is a bad game, for plenty of reasons. I just want to have fun and I've been waiting for this game to get fun as I've played it but it has just turned out to be a sad, repetitive, grindy game with awful mechanics. I know my way around crew-based RNG action, prioritization, etc, I have 900 hrs in Rimworld and about 70 in FTL. But I mean, this game is intentionally wasting my time. Why do I have to tag enemies, why can't the radar man do it himself like a big boy? Why, after tagging enemies, do my braindead toddler crew members just not shoot for like 10 seconds when a huge strike craft is following right behind us? Why do my high level gunners using Focus lead their shots so horribly that they only land 1% of them? Why does my landing gear get annihilated in one shot when I have sacrificed all my spotless lambs to the RNG gods, begging for my landing gear to stay intact for just one mission? Why do I upgrade my plane and give it armor to stop a meteor, when the game will scale everything up to make the upgrades meaningless? Why is the plane so wobbly that I can't click on the crew without lining up my mouse with the oscillation of the plane like I'm Matthew McConaughey docking a spaceship? Why won't my crew pick up the equipment I've clicked on 15 times? Why does my pilot corkscrew into the ocean? I wish I never bought this game.
