Bully: Scholarship Edition Review (0U751D3)
Another Rockstar Games Classic, Bully!
I'll keep this one short & sweet, In it's present unmodified / unpatched state I can't simply recommend the PC version of Bully. First off, to even consider about running this on your present day rig, you'll need to download user created fixes, Now this isn't the end of the world & rather simple for anyone to install but not something that's really professional on the developers end to have to make users do straight after downloading.
You can possibly get away with playing this as I did for a short period of time unpatched but most definitely be prepared to deal with crashes, glitches, bugs, framerate issues and more! Download Silentpatch for Bully by googling it, it'll fix most if not all issues that will get this title back to a playable state & put those nasty crashes to bed.
After patching, the game does run a lot better on my Computer so I know that Silentpatch has done it's job and resolved the glitches in the Unpatched version of the game. If you want to run Bully, GET SILENTPATCH, do not run it without it, just don't.
My recommendation against this Port (Not the game itself) stems primarily from its current state. Priced at $20+ outside of Steam sales, it is unreasonable to expect consumers to have to resolve compatibility issues for a title that is still being sold by the developers themselves. If Rockstar had dedicated a small team to ensuring compatibility with modern PCs and fixing the game's core technical issues, I would wholeheartedly recommend this PC edition.
In other words, I recommend Bully, Great game and timeless classic from Rockstar, Just that I don't recommend this buggy PC port.
