Chronicles of 2 Heroes: Amaterasu's Wrath Review (Varn)
An excellent old-school platformer with metroidvania elements
The distinctive touch of this game works very well because both characters are very different from each other
The kunochi can jump and has ranged attacks so it has a lot of horizontal control, while the samurai has total vertical control thanks to a dash that we can even spam
This translates into many levels where you have to switch between them in the air or on top of a platform that is about to fall (or even already falling!)
The game is not only content with that, but there is also a quite varied enemy design, each with its strengths and weaknesses that we can exploit better with one character or another (I love the monkeys!)
In addition, both playable characters can perform different parrys, so it gives an extra layer of depth to the combat and puzzles. Because yes, there are even small puzzles in the game altrough the platforming is always important
All accompanied by a beautiful pixelart with a lot of personality thanks to the character design and a soundtrack that engages and pushes you to keep trying once again
Plus, you can pet the cats!!!!
